ATSC 3.0 Device Features and Benefits

Enterprise-Grade. Field-Ready. Performance-Driven.

Native Internet Protocol (IP)-Based Architecture

ATSC 3.0 is IP-native, meaning data packets are transported in standard IP format. Devices can integrate broadcast seamlessly with cellular, satellite, or broadband in a hybrid model, enabling scalable distribution and two-way control.

Wide-Area Coverage Without Multiple Base Stations

A single ATSC 3.0 transmission site can cover tens of miles in radius, often spanning an entire metropolitan area or region. Cellular networks require dozens or hundreds of base stations to provide comparable geographic reach.

Resilience in High-Density or High-Demand Scenarios

In ATSC 3.0 broadcast, adding receivers does not increase bandwidth consumption at the source. And, because broadcast is not dependent on per-device sessions, it is less susceptible to congestion during peak demand events.

Ingress Protection (IP) Rating Against Water and Dust

ATSC 3.0 devices with waterproof, dust-tight enclosures rated IP67 or higher are ruggedized for use in outdoor, weather-exposed, or harsh industrial installations.
